The first step to becoming a veterinary surgeon in the UK is to study veterinary medicine at university. Veterinary medicine courses usually take five or six years to complete. It’s useful to start researching and thinking about your career ambitions as early as possible to help you on your way to becoming a vet.

Veterinary nurses are one of two key professional roles delivering medical care to animals, the other being veterinary surgeons. To be a veterinary nurse, you'll need to have successfully completed a course accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

The purpose of physiotherapy is to restore and maintain mobility, function, independence and performance. 

 

As an animal physiotherapist you'll cover the treatment of domestic pets, farm animals and exotic pets, though horses, dogs and cats are the most common.
