Country Campers Retreat

Our Oakworth campsite is open between April and September.  We only accept tents, but do not have a limit on their size.

​

Your campsite is located within a secure one acre paddock (including a mini woodland area) - meaning that dogs can be allowed off lead, though please be mindful of fellow campers and respect the fact that not all dogs get on (nor do all dog owners like other dogs!).  We have a separate secure field which can be booked for exercising your dog or for playing outdoor games (equipment not supplied).

Electric is currently not provided and our wifi does not extend to the camping area, but you are welcome to book use of a private room within our farmhouse if you would like to catch up on admin or even watch TV. Mobile reception is good for most networks.

We have an on site dog friendly cafe, pet gift shop and pet bakery!  Breakfast, picnics and meals can be arranged outside of our usual cafe opening hours upon request.  Most local eateries deliver to us (just not McDonalds!) via popular delivery apps and there are many great pubs and restaurants to dine in if you prefer to eat out.

Our venue is located one mile outside of Oakworth and approximately 3 miles from Keighley town centre, where most supermarkets and shops can be found.  We are also only 3 miles from the stunning village of Haworth, famous Bronte Country and Penistone Hill.  There are lots of picturesque walking and cycling routes nearby.

Parking is limited so if you are a visiting with a large party of guests we encourage car sharing wherever possible.

Please email us to enquire about availability or if you are interested in booking sole use of our campsite or facilities for an event. Pet boarding and doggy day care may be available for you to arrange during your stay (subject to availability).

Terms & Conditions

 

• Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

• Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to your stay to receive a refund.  A £5.00 admin fee will be deducted.

• Postponements with at least 7 days notice bear no additional charge. 

• Refunds will not be given for cancellations of less than 7 days.

• You should arrive at our campsite between 9:30am and 10:30am or 4:30pm and 5:30pm.  If these times are not suitable please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate alternative times.

• Departures should be between 8:30am and 9:30am or 3:30pm and 4:30pm.

• Please ensure you do not leave any waste on our campsite. If any is found a clean up fee will be payable.

• We are primarily a pet care establishment.  Please be aware that dogs are likely to be resident on the premises, though will not use the campsite at any time.

• All dogs must be kept on a lead in all areas except within the secure campsite and field, though please ensure your dog is under control when guests are arriving and departing the campsite.

• The use of well controlled camping stoves and fires are welcomed.

• We do not currently provide fuel on site.

• Please note that we do not tolerate hostile / unsociable behaviour to humans or animals!  If any visitor is found to be causing a disturbance they will be asked to leave our campsite immediately.
